China in Washington 2009: USCPF's 2009 Annual Gala Dinner

The USCPF held our 14th Annual Gala Dinner on September 17, 2009 at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in downtown Washington, DC.

This event celebrated the close bilateral relationship that has developed between the United States and China and offered an opportunity for China experts, scholars, businessmen, and government officials to meet and to discuss ways to further increase the depth and strategic significance of the U.S.-China relationship. This year’s event was of particular significance as we marked the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

USCPF Co-hosts Dinner Honoring NPC Chairman Wu Bangguo

Conference in Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and the United States
January 12-13, 2009 (Beijing, PRC)

The USCPF participated in a two-day conference in Beijing on January 12 – 13, 2009 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the China and the United States. The event, which was sponsored by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States, and co-sponsored by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, was attended by senior government officials and scholars from both countries.

USCPF/CASS Celebration for the 30th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between the United States and China
December 15-16, 2008 (Beijing, PRC)

The USCPF co-sponsored a two-day event with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), in Beijing on December 15 – 16, 2008 to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between the United States and China. A delegation of senior U.S. officials, scholars, and businessmen, as well as senior level Chinese ministers and government officials participated in the conference, as an essential part of Chinese official activities for the anniversary.
